Nach zwei bejubelten EPs - "Get Away From The Feeling" (2017) und "Bunkbed" (2018) - hat sich das Quartett aus Liverpool die nötige Zeit genommen, um das Album fertigzustellen. Und die neuen Songs "Please", "Turn" und das bereits veröffentlichte "Endless Lovers" zeigen: das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Was macht mehr Spaß als Hausaufgaben? Eine Band gründen. Das dachten sich auch die Schulfreunde Sean, Josh, Arran und Carl, die die gemeinsame Bewunderung für Bombay Bicycle Club, Kings of Leon, Fleetwood Mac und Title Fight verband. So begannen sie an eigenem Material zu arbeiten, dass all ihre musikalischen Einflüsse zusammenbringt - Arran ist darüber hinaus noch Techno Fan - und fanden schnell einen gemeinsamen Sound. Der Einfluss ihrer Heimatstadt Liverpool ist dabei tief in ihnen verankert, sagt Sean: "The city has made us who we are. It's the place in the world." Aber sie wollen nicht darauf reduziert werden: "We get treated a little bit different just because we're from Liverpool, but we act differently to all the bands in Liverpool's scene," führt Sean fort. "It's not where people are from, it's what they're about that people remember."
