In the summer of 1992, in the quaint picturesque town of Temecula, California, lives would change forever with a series of events that left permanent scars on more than just the manicured landscape, but also, in the memories of those who survived them.
Before June 2, 1992, tiny Temecula was a hidden gem of a community off Interstate 15 between San Diego & Los Angeles. After June 2, 1992, the country knew exactly where it sat on the California map nestled between the coast & the San Jacinto Mountains.
It was then that the world learned the names of the victims, whose worlds collided in an unfortunate series of events during the morning rush hour. And as death did not discriminate that morning, it is what happened in the days, weeks, months, and years afterwards, that made their tragic passing a remarkable statement of love, courage, faith, and determination.
This is the story of Jose "Tommy" & Gloria Murillo, brother & sister, son & daughter, mommy & uncle, friends & confidantes, whose absence is felt daily but their memory lives in the hearts of those who loved them dearly.
