Fifteen years teaching and thirteen years in pastoral roles at a boys' Grammar School has given Jonathan Bleakley a particular perspective on what what adolescent boys need to develop to become decent and honourable young men. Contrary to the all too common perspective, teenagers not only do not simply respond to entertainment, but actually seek after clear boundaries and unambiguous moral frameworks. Without these being provided for them by those in authority (who must also be those who have earned their respect), they will find alternative frameworks in which to live themselves.
