Synopsis:
Dr. Troy Mercer saves lives for a living. He's just forgotten how to live one himself.
Hiding in a basement apartment in the Bronx with nothing but his unhinged German Shorthaired Pointer and a collection of takeout containers, Troy has perfected the art of going through the motions. Work. Sleep. Repeat. Feel nothing. It's safer that way.
Dana Reed is drowning in the wreckage of her own life, raising two young boys alone and showing up for shifts as Head Nurse because someone has to pay the bills. She doesn't have time for complications. Doesn't have room in her shattered heart for anything beyond survival.
