What if pain was not forever?

What if it came in crashing waves,

Be retreated when chased by the peace of God?

Perhaps pain is God's tool of rescue;

A rope to pull us away from ourselves

And onto the shore of His goodness.

What must a soul do when plunged into the dark waters of despair? Shall the sufferer smother all pain, or simply sink into the shadows in defeat? Perhaps the darkness within was meant to be poured out as an offering, a sweet aroma to the Lord's ears. Through the sting of tears, the sharp pain of loss, and the wrestlings of a wandering heart, it becomes startlingly clear that we can only turn to Jesus to be healed and restored. All Things Broken and Beautiful is a collection of poems written for the broken-hearted. These raw fragments of thought take the reader through the multi-layered emotions that come with heartache, disappointment, loss, grief, and loneliness. In this offering to the Lord, all who are broken will find that they are not alone in their tears and heartache. They will discover that all things are broken are also all things beautiful when molded in the hands of our Mender.
