Almásy's Ford A

This little book is neither an instruction manual on how to restore a vintage Ford A nor do we give a lot of attention to the technical details of the vehicle. We do not even describe the details of the equipment of the 1930 s and how we have tried to re-construct or to obtain it. The book is mainly a photographic evidence of our experience with the Ford in the desert of Tunisia in autumn 2013. We simply want to share our impressions with other people who are enthusiastic for the desert and want to show the vehicle in action in the sand dunes.§§Dieses kleine Buch ist weder eine Anleitung, wie man einen alten Ford A restauriert noch wird tiefer auf die technischen Eigenschaften des Fahrzeuges eingegangen. Wir beschreiben noch nicht einmal die Details der damaligen Ausrüstung und wie wir versucht haben, diese möglichst originalgetreu zu rekonstruieren oder zu beschaffen. Das Buch ist vorwiegend eine fotografische Darstellung unserer Erlebnisse mit dem Ford in der Wüste Tunesiens im Herbst 2013. Wir wollen damit die Eindrücke mit anderen wüstenbegeisterten Menschen teilen und das Fahrzeug im Einsatz in den Sanddünen zeigen.
