SHE PRACTICES COMPASSION.

A fiercely independent wise woman with a pronounced limp, Dara Mannix lives alone in her cottage and creates medicinals from the forest's plants and flowers to treat the villagers' physical ailments. The villagers call her a witch, but Dara wants everyone, even Tristan, to know that only good intentions occupy her thoughts and actions.

A deeply scarred knight, the villagers look at Tristan with fear, so he only associates with his family and friends. He desires to restore his decrepit manor, even the garden, to their former glory, but he needs Dara's help. He must convince Dara that if she decides to help him, her decision benefits them both.

BUT DO THEY TRUST EACH OTHER

To avoid the village gossip, Dara attempts to remain independent, but her desire to help Tristan restore his garden overrides her will to stay alone and self-sufficient. Tristan realizes that he's asking Dara to surrender her lifestyle, at least for a while, but soon learns that he feels so much more when he works beside her. There's no denying the smoldering attraction between them-and trying to remain alone and aloof would be the saddest outcome of all. . .
