Battle of the Mind

The greatest battle is not fought around us-it is fought within the human mind.

Battle of the Mind examines the spiritual battle between truth and lies; obedience versus rebellion; and the government of God versus the false principles of Satan. This book begins by examining how the great controversy was started in heaven, and then goes on to examine the fall of man. From there it continues to trace the great controversy throughout the Bible to its ultimate conclusion.

Waicuga Kinyoro views the human mind as a primary battleground for the conflict among thoughts, desires, attention, habits, identity, conscience, and will that ultimately determine our character and spiritual allegiance. In addition, the book addresses the relationship between the human mind and body, with a focus on topics like habits, self-control, addiction, physical well-being, sleep, psychology, and neuroplasticity in a biblical context.

Jesus Christ is at the very core of this journey. Victory over self is not shown to be solely achieved through man's own power or mental control; rather, victory is demonstrated to be accomplished by the work of Christ in the individual who has given his/her heart to God.
This book will explore the Holy Spirit, regeneration, the Word of God, the sanctuary, Christ's heavenly ministry, the Law of God, justification, and the cleansing and restoration of each believer.

The study will now focus on the Biblical prophecies of the last battle - and the examination of such things as judgement, worship, loyalty, the Sabbath vs Sunday debate, the seal of God, the mark of the beast, religious freedom, and the last crisis depicted in the Bible.

Ultimately, Battle of the Mind illustrates that the Great Controversy is a battle over what is true, what kind of person you will be (character), how you worship and who you pledge your loyalty to. Battle of the Mind is also a journey that begins in Eden, and ends with the ultimate victory of Jesus Christ and the restoration of everything.

The purpose of this book is to offer those who are looking for a more thorough explanation of the Bible's Great Controversy, as well as the spiritual battle that occurs within each person's mind, a scripturally based examination of the conflict; and, perhaps most importantly, provide hope of winning the battle through Jesus Christ.
