Brain Tumor

This volume provides the reader with the most up-to-date results of both fundamental and clinical studies covering a broad area of brain tumor research. It comprises 46 papers specially selected from among the 13 special lectures and 145 presentations delivered at the 3rd Japanese Conference on Brain Tumor Research and Therapy held in Nasu, 1994, and is divided into four parts: 1. a reevaluation of brain tumor classification and grading, 2. the dynamic aspects of brain tumor cells, 3. molecular neurooncology and its impact on clinical management, and 4. advances in novel therapeutic approaches, including biological response markers (BRM) and gene therapy.
