Chasing the Heavy Air

A year prior to the beginning of this story, in 2406, a trillionaire tycoon, a time traveling assassin, and the Chief Police Commissioner of Earth's Multiplanetary Alliance battled and murdered an intergalactic vacation planner in his headquarters on Saturn's moon of Hyperion.

This was a very big deal for a certain species of energy wisps living on the other side of space, as now the anticipated thrill and excitement of their future vacations to Earth would no longer have the guarantee to be thrilling or exciting at all, as there would no longer be anyone around to spin up soul worthy circumstances and scenarios into existence for them to enjoy.

The main reason souls choose to take these vacations in the first place is to test their essence, and upon returning home, have this essence shrink or grow in accordance with the many choices they made during their time as physical beings. But, some simply enjoy the exhilaration of being able to escape the tedium and boredom of know-it-all eternal memories, as they are stripped of all such cumbersome bindings and are only equipped with their innate conscience as the sole means for navigating these holidays. And, that is why sending a new vacation planner to the dominion of Sol, to spice things up again, has become their utmost priority.

Expedience aside, a proper court hearing for this murder must be conducted and concluded before a replacement vacation planner can be instated, and as such, the Galaxies of Souls have put out a bounty and hired an alien species known as the Ziggonians to bring this murderous trio to justice.

But ethereal hullabaloo is a mere reflection of this story, so let us delve into the defense of these three by immersing ourselves in the corporeal side of things. This will be done using Ziggonian Mindmelds, their hologram system, and a one-eyed bat who is a renown defense attorney across numerous galaxies, and who calls this hologram system its home.
