Die Weltfinanz- und Wirtschaftskrise ab 2007 hat die Frage nach zivilgesellschaftlicher Verantwortung transnationaler Akteure in der globalisierten Wirtschaft neu aufgeworfen. Neben den Nationalstaaten sollen auch die Profiteure des liberalisierten Welthandels negative Folgeerscheinungen lindern. Eine Antwort auf diese Herausforderung sind Civil Private Partnerships (CPP) zwischen Nonprofitorganisationen und multinationalen Unternehmen. Für einen gleichsam tragfähigen wie zielführenden Einsatz dieser Konzepte ist ein theoretischer Rahmen sowie Kenntnis der (Miss)Erfolgsstrukturen allerdings ebenso zwingend wie eine empirische Ein- und Zuordnung. Dieses Buch vermittelt einen konsolidierten, empirischen Erkenntnisstand über CPP im Nonprofitbereich aus der Perspektive der untersuchten gesellschaftlich tätigen Akteure. Es zeigt zudem: CPP können die Interessen aller Partner wahren, wenn die organisatorische Legitimität geschützt wird. Diese Erkenntnis eröffnet einen neuen Forschungsraum mit vielfältigem weiterführendem Analysebedarf.
