It's been over half a century since teenagers Josh and Charlie first discovered the time portal in the tunnel that launched a lifetime of adventures.
Now retired, and living in his new country pad with his wife, Alice, Josh is forced to face the reality of the impending mortality of the ageing team, as the first of them passes on, unexpectedly.
With his time travel and mind-transference technology, he stresses to the surviving members of the team that none of them needs to die. But events take an unexpected turn in the year 2070 when Earth's very existence is threatened.
The world is shrinking, day by day, with entire countries and oceans disappearing as an unexplained anomaly consumes the planet. Yet apart from Josh and his fellow time travellers, the people seem oblivious to the threat.
