Die Einführung des Vergleichsverfahrens, auch Settlement-Verfahren genannt, ist auf großes Interesse gestoßen und stellt eine der wichtigsten Neuerungen des europäischen Kartellverfahrens der letzten Jahre dar. Sowohl die Effektivität als auch die Vereinbarkeit des Vergleichsverfahrens mit rechtsstaatlichen Grundsätzen sind von Beginn an in Zweifel gezogen worden. Die Arbeit ordnet das Vergleichsverfahren in den internationalen Kontext ein und widmet sich umfänglich den verschiedenen Aspekten des neuen Verfahrens vor dem Hintergrund der sich entwickelnden Anwendungspraxis.
