Francis the Fox has great plans for the future. Leaving his den behind, he marches to the city in his shiny boots to meet the mayor, William the Wolf.When the old wolf mayor goes on a fishing trip on a deserted island, Francis talks him into letting Francis serve as substitute mayor. But Francis's greed for power and actions quickly make city residents uneasy. There's something suspicious going on in the library attic, and the city's carrier pigeons have disappeared mysteriously.Will Francis ruin the upcoming soccer match with a rival team? And will it be a friendly match as always before?

---Francis Fuchs hat große Pläne für die Zukunft. Er verläßt seinen Fuchsbau und macht sich in seinen glänzenden Stiefeln auf den Weg in die Stadt, um sich mit dem Bürgermeister William Wolf zu treffen.

Als der alte Wolf-Bürgermeister zum Fischen auf eine verlassene Insel verreist, überredet Francis ihn, ihn als Vertretungsbürgermeister einzustellen. Aber Francis' Gier nach Macht und seine neuen Anweisungen gefallen den Bewohnern nicht. Irgendetwas Verdächtiges geht auf dem Dachboden der Bibliothek vor sich und die Brieftauben der Stadt verschwinden plötzlich auf mysteriöse Art und Weise.

Wird Francis das nächste Fußballspiel zugrunde richten? Und wird es überhaupt ein Freundschaftspiel wie früher werden?
