Dog Myth

One evening, a man finds himself in an inadvertently altered state of consciousness. Afraid and uncertain on what should be done, he finds himself falling prey to fearful panic and despair. Just as it seems he is to lose his mind, he feels a light tapping on his lap. The man looks up from his gloom to see the worried, little face of his dog, who silently hints that he should pet her. As the man strokes his dog, he finds profound comfort in it, and as the moments pass he discovers, much to their astonishment, that he and his dog can speak to one another on account of the condition he finds himself in. His dog, Meeka, is able to ascertain that her man is in for a long and strangely difficult night, so she offers to tell him stories of dogkind's greatest heroes and tragedies. Although mystified and somewhat doubtful that this conversation with his dog is actually occurring, the man finds himself intrigued by Meeka's proposal, so he agrees to listen. What follows is a series of fantastical fables, wild tales, and a mythological saga of dogkind's greatest and most celebrated hero. Dog Myth reveals a vastly different version of the world we live upon, and how it is that we are all here and why we are the way we are.
