Alexander Pushkin's unique romantic novel in verse "Evgeni Onegin" is a masterpiece in world literature. At times it was difficult to understand the poetic meaning of some of the words Pushkin used to portray his characters and events. It may be the reason why it has been translated into English more than 45 times since 1880.
