When fifteen-year-old Caleb and Boo, the wonder dog, join Deputy Sheriff Nate Garner and his wife Marie on a trip, Caleb's expecting a week of fishing and campfires. They plan to deliver wheelchair-bound Molly and Marie to summer camp in the Wyoming wilderness, but nothing turns out as expected.

At the remote girls' camp, Molly faces an unexpected challenge-a trio of bullies determined to make her summer miserable. But their tormenting tactics are washed away when flash flood waters hit the camp and the struggle for survival begins. As water engulfs the valley, their cabin is washed into a torrent, and campers and counselors must make split-second decisions that mean the difference between life and death.

With bridges washed out and help hours away, Molly's tormentors discover she has an inner strength they all need. Meanwhile, search dog Boo, Caleb, and Nate struggle to find survivors, hoping Molly and Marie are among them.
