As societies have shifted from industrialism to informationalism, organizations have adapted to the new environment of rapid change, ubiquitous use of information and communication technology (ICT), and instant access to knowledge. In addition, the newest generation to enter the workforce, Gen-Y, has been shaped extensively by ICT.
