Dit boek geeft therapeuten en artsen inzicht in een cognitieve gedragsmatige behandelstrategie bij langdurige pijnklachten aan het bewegingsapparaat waarbij de angst voor het bewegen verhoogd is. De behandeling wordt niet alleen door fysio- en oefentherapeuten uitgevoerd, maar ook door ergotherapeuten.

Graded Exposure gaat dieper in op de diverse patiëntengroepen en aandoeningen, zoals chronische lage rugklachten, complex regionaal pijn syndroom en whiplash.
