Auf der Basis einer dialogischen Sprechakttheorie werden Äußerungsvarianten mit unterschiedlichen Höflichkeitsfunktionen fassbar und zu den jeweiligen kulturellen Besonderheiten in Beziehung gesetzt. Im Ergebnis lassen sich so Unterschiede, aber auch Gemeinsamkeiten bei der Orientierung an Höflichkeitsprinzipien aufzeigen, die die Erkenntnisse systemlinguistischer Untersuchungen nicht nur erweitern, sondern Höflichkeit auch als integralen Bestandteil einer kommunikativen Grammatik erkennbar machen.
