Katanja's Comet

On location with her family, Holly Redgrove lives in a weird and wonderful new world. She owns several pets, including a haughty ice cat, who may be the last of her kind. Katanja is named after the Great Comet, despite having lost her own tail.

Katanja persuades Holly to take her to the nearby planet of Xantha Major, and when their shuttlecar, piloted by robot Zat, crash lands in Salt Rock Desert, a breathtaking race against time begins ...

Holly is found by native Tring school-friend Paxon, but they are soon taken prisoner by a hostile underground tribe, the laser-eyed Eyelite. Alone, Katanja sets off on a dangerous rescue mission across alien lands.

Holly and Paxon are held captive by the Eyelite, deep inside the vast volcanic tunnels of Xayunda, as Katanja marches bravely on, seeking allies to help them.

Will Holly and her beloved ice cat ever see each other again? 

As all-out war threatens for the Tring and Eyelite, can Holly and Paxon discover the true reason for their capture in time to resolve a desperate situation, and save the inhabitants of this magical kingdom?
