Landscape and Time

This book explores the temporal dimension of landscape as a complex, multi-layered theoretical and empirical object. It examines how multiple temporalities intersect, overlap, and interact within landscapes, moving beyond static or purely spatial understandings to reveal landscape as a diachronic terrain where multiple times coexist, clash, and reshape one another. Contributions from leading researchers explore the interdisciplinary framework for understanding how time permeates landscapes across scales, from deep geological time to lived, everyday experience.
