This first book in the UnderBelly series, 'Layers of Truth', follows our overly antsy, sometimes humorous reporter as he gets a new job in Chicago after being forced to leave LA because of a truth that can never be revealed. As a fresh newspaper, eager to begin anew, he finds he has not left his past behind but is carrying it into the future.

In this first volume , he faces a challenging depth to uncover the truth, which hits him hard. He accepts what must be done and begins to realize, as he weaves two stories, one for the public and another as a factual account, that this is his future, not just an isolated case. Then he encounters the person who will change his life forever, as she stands beside him through all they find together, even as powerful forces behind the scenes try to divide them using every means available, including mythology itself. That is, until the unthinkable occurs: the one person standing in their way manages to break their bond. The entire world waits with bated breath to see if it can be repaired, so the truth can surface, and the Underbelly of life can be exposed, revealing its darkness hidden from the light...
