Nur fehlt bisher für die linguistische Beschäftigung mit dem Verstehen eine griffige Bezeichnung, die erkennbar macht, dass sie genauso wichtig ist wie die Beschäftigung mit dem Sprachhandeln, die sprachwissenschaftliche 'Pragmatik'. Hierfür bietet sich der Terminus 'linguistische Hermeneutik' an, denn 'Hermeneutik' ist nun einmal der übliche Name für das wissenschaftliche Bemühen um Verstehen und Interpretieren, um das es in diesem Band geht.
