The Constitution of the United Kingdom of Great Britain is not a single specific document that can be pointed to, like the Constitution of the United States. Instead the British have developed a system of rules that establishes the political governance of the island nation. Even the Constitution of the United States of America, that was drafted during a rebellion against the British Empire, owes much of its substance to British political philosophy grounded in the Magna Carta, and enlightenment philosophers like John Locke.
