Miami Connections

Following their spectacular vow renewal ceremony, Kristie and Enrique are living a life of married bliss. They feel like they're living in a fantasy in the tropical city of Miami with their four beautiful children, and their love for each other becomes even stronger and more powerful than ever before. Their life together is full to the brim with joyful family time, philanthropic projects, lavish parties, romantic date nights, and, of course, lots and lots of passion!

While José adjusts to a life away from crime, he finds himself suffering from bouts of paranoia that leave him with very real feelings that there is still a threat out there. He's so grateful for the opportunities he has been blessed with after everything he has done, especially for the fact that he has his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren back in his life. He adores spending time with his family; he's having the time of his life, however, he can't help but feel unsettled, and at times, he can't help but give in to his intrusive thoughts when they creep up on him in more ways than one.

José has always been one to keep busy, and he's doing just that, which is a perfect way to distract himself from his erratic state of mind. He's working super hard on many different charity projects, including one that is very dear to him, a treatment center in honor of his late wife, Gina. What's more, he and Enrique are working together to construct this amazing center, and it feels better than ever.

With him and his son settling into their new way of life now that everything's out in the open, José does everything he can to make things easier for Enrique as their relationship hits some challenges. Riddled with guilt and regret for his past mistakes that tore both of them apart, José does his best to navigate his way through their journey as he desperately tries to repair his bond with his son. Can their relationship overcome such deception and trauma?

With his apparent overactive imagination, José tries to convince himself that his feelings of paranoia are just that, paranoia, although he wastes no time in making sure that his family is safe in the best way possible; his past life experiences won't allow things to be any other way. One thing this tragic situation has taught him is that you can't leave a life of cartels and murder without suffering lasting effects from living in a constant state of alert and awareness. He lost his family once, and he will never allow that to happen again. He can't afford to take any chances, so he makes sure that everything is covered to the max so there is no risk of danger to his loved ones ever again. He just hopes the people that he is trusting with his family's safety are right when they are telling him that everything is in hand, because the alternative is unthinkable.
