"You left me. No words. No explanation. You left me. Not the other way around. Disappearing into the sunset with no looking back." Whitley Dawn could not believe he was the one that had saved her. Could the night get any worse? "You cannot impress me any more with your words. They mean nothing," Whitley looked him dead in the eyes. What was she thinking? She could not believe she just said that to Colt Sampson. 

Moreover, she didn't even stammer with the words. She blurted them out without thinking about what the outcome would be.What a vixen. He wanted to see those eyes light up like the moon at midnight. Bright with desire. Colt stepped closer to her. He did not think about his next move. He leaned in and whispered, "I promise my words will not only impress you but make your knees weak with desire. You will beg me to take you, Whitley Dawn."

"Never, I don't trust you. I made the mistake once. It won't happen again," Whitley clinched her teeth. Just who did he think he was? She had been fooled when she was younger. She had matured. She had responsibilities with the ranch.

Colt smirked. "Don't ever say never. I'm back, Whitley, and there is nothing that you can say or do that is going to change this fact." Catching her off guard, Colt kissed her hard on the lips. "Just a little something to remember me and keep the home fires burning."
