Morphology Morning Work

Big words are made of small parts.

When young readers learn that jump + ing makes jumping and un + happy makes unhappy, long words stop being scary. Morphology Morning Work gives 1st and 2nd graders a short, friendly page of word-part practice for every day of the school year.

Each page takes just five to ten minutes. Children learn one word part at a time, then circle it, build new words with it, pick the word that fits, and use it on their own. Big print, simple directions, and lots of circling, sorting, and drawing keep the work friendly for beginning readers.
