NUTRACEUTICAL

The term "nutraceutical" refers to nutritional supplements sold to cure or prevent disease. There is no regulatory definition for it. As a result, a "nutraceutical" is defined as any item that can be categorized as a food or a dietary component and provides medical or health benefits, such as illness prevention and treatment. Isolated nutrients, nutritional supplements, diets, genetically modified "designer" meals, herbal goods, and processed foods, including cereals, soups, and beverages, are examples of such items. There are already over 470 nutraceutical and functional food items available with proven health advantages. "Nutraceuticals and functional foods have gotten much interest because of their perceived safety and potential nutritional and therapeutic benefits." Many medicines are made from plants and animals, and they are as "natural" as foods. A famous example of nutrition is synthetic vitamins. Food is referred to as "functional food" when cooked or prepared with "scientific intelligence," with or without knowing how or why it is used. As a result, functional food supplies the vitamins, fats, proteins, and carbs that the body requires to function correctly.
