Trotz seines eindrücklichen Namens ist der Münchner Architekt Otho Orlando Kurz (1881-1933) heute weitgehend unbekannt und steht im Schatten anderer Architekten seiner Zeit. Dabei sind vor allem Kurz# Wohnbauten im Stadtbild sehr präsent. Seine Häuser entziehen sich jedoch einer eindeutigen stilistischen Zuordnung, was wiederum gerade die architektonische Qualität und Vielfalt begründet, die sein Werk bis heute auszeichnen. Die Wohngebäude bilden den inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt dieser ersten Monografie über Otho Orlando Kurz. Sie stellt die architektonische und typologische Entwicklung vom städtischen Wohnhaus über die Wohnhausgruppen zu den Grosswohnbauten anhand seiner wichtigsten Projekte dar und ordnet sie in das bisher kaum dokumentierte Gesamtwerk des Architekten ein. Vervollständigt wird das Buch durch einen Werkkatalog, der die Wohnhäuser mit zahlreichen Abbildungen und Plänen umfassend dokumentiert und die Bauten zueinander in Beziehung setzt.
