The backdrop for this tale is Iran and Iran's quest for a nuclear weapon. Top Secret plans for developing such a weapon fall into Al's hands; now it's up to Al to convert the plans into cash. *** Greed? Yes, Al, a sharp guy born with a hump is a greedy man with a compulsive desire for money to quench his lust for a better life-no, the best possible life-and he feels he deserves it. After years of dedicated and loyal service to the CIA with only a pittance for a paycheck and no savings to speak of, Al feels it's time for a payoff, and he's to be the recipient. But how is Al to realize his dream of retiring in comfort, luxury, and sufficient beer money to drink himself stupid on a regular basis? Al decides the only way to achieve his lofty goals are to go rogue. But how? As a polygrapher administering polygraphs to Agency employees, he has no access to classified material that could potentially, if sold to the highest bidder, be worth a king's ransom, but the individuals he runs through the polygraph do have clearances, do have access. If only he could just turn one into an unwitting accomplice, he might just be able to retire in the lifestyle he so richly deserves, and this is exactly what Al, our very clever polygrapher, does.
