This is the history and adventures of the Rainwater and Peabody families; both comfortable, wealthy, sure of themselves and leaders of their time. Each respected the other until the Peabody's beautiful daughter, Sara, fell in love with the handsome half-Indian Jeremiah Rainwater. Their struggles are played out from Virginia and the Carolinas to the Arkansaw Territory.
