I wanted her, desperately. There was no other woman in the world, the universe, that would be good enough for me. KC was the only woman who could take me on. Any other woman I would walk all over. Any other woman would give me whatever I wanted, but not what I needed.

I needed KC, she would challenge me and she would keep me in line. She would let me love her and take care of her and she would tell me to back off when she needed me to. KC would never let me railroad her and she would stand up to me when I was being an asshole, which was often.

KC was the woman for me.

And I couldn't have her.
