Rising UP With The LORD

An uplifting book about poverty, determination, and a thirst to be educated.

On the banks of Fowl River, among the breath-taking pine trees, embedded in the caramel sand of Southern Alabama, emerge a story that gives hope to every little girl and boy. A story that speaks volumes to self-determination and self-esteem. A story that will inspire others to reach beyond their misfortunes of life. This story reminds us that we can brightening our future. It says that we can triumph an unhealthy, an unproductive environment.

The author was born to an unwed mother. They lived in a small house with many family members. Yet, she was able to overcome many obstacles of life by placing her faith in God at an early age. To overcome her obstacles, she had to move from her home place to live with relatives. The schooling that she needed was not available in Fowl River. She gives credit to her success to a loving mother, the church, and absolute trust in God.  

"Rising Up with Lord" says, "Being born on the wrong side of the tracks does not mean that you are predestined to live on the wrong side of the tracks". If you are willing to sacrifice, big things can be achieved!
