When 12-year-old Shiny Apalaris is taken from her home and placed into foster care, one secret love story ends and another begins. Years later, her brother Carl remains obsessed by the loss of a sister with whom he discovered a love so intense, it tore their family apart. This is a love story in the deepest sense, a story that does not end... ~~ ~~ ~~ Rudy Wilson is the author of three previous novels, THE RED TRUCK, A GIRL NAMED JESUS, and SONJA'S BLUE. He is the recipient of a CCLM-GE Award for fiction published in The Paris Review, an NEA Fellowship, and a Teaching-Writing Fellowship from the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop, where he attended and taught. He has also taught at three other universities. He has published in many outstanding literary journals including The Paris Review, The Indiana Review (3), Gordon Lish's Ouarterly, The Literarian, and others, and has been nominated for a PUSHCART PRIZE for 2014. He is presently editing his new book, EXIT -ANGEL.
