The 33rd edition of the SIPRI Yearbook analyses developments in 2001 in o Security and conflicts o Military spending and armaments o Non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament with extensive annexes on arms control and disarmament agreements and a chronology of security- and arms control-related events as well as a comprehensive glossary of terms and membership of international organizations. In this Yearbook, SIPRI presents its annual reports on major armed conflicts; conflict prevention; the enlargement and stabilization of European institutions; military spending; arms production; arms transfers; nuclear arms control and ballistic missile defence; chemical and biological weapon developments and arms control; conventional arms control and confidence- and security-building measures; and multilateral weapon and technology export controls.
