Stay Balanced! is the story of a year in the life of Emma Carbury, a multi tasking trial lawyer who lives and practices in Connecticut. Often laugh out loud funny, Emma is a smart, athletic, stand no nonsense woman, but she has major challenges to confront. Her mother is a darkly amusing narcissist. Her deceased father is still plaguing her life. Her husband's kids are manipulative and entitled. Her law firm is operated by an egoist who exploits Emma's talents. Her beloved mare is a super powerful show jumper with a definite opinion. Her new neighbor is a notorious Brit with a horrifying past. To cope, Emma turns to her love of painting, her book club, and her two terriers.

Emma is continually getting her clients out of trouble, but she is too busy and distracted to realize that her own life is not what it could be. Her behavior is becoming increasingly volatile, and she is drinking too much. Worried, her sister gives her an hour with a psychic. This woman tells Emma that her life is due for a complete overhaul. Then the dreams begin. At first Emma is skeptical, but as she researches dream symbology, the answers come. The people in her life are not as they seem.
