About Stories from Arunachala Diaries
"Stories from Arunachala Diaries are a series of writing, which promises to take you, in a new level of reality, in challenging times. A reality which is half ajar, which means a door which is half open, and half closed. While we all see, the closed door, we don't see the door, which is open. While I visited for the first time in Tiruvannamalai in 2009, both the doors for world, and for me, was closed due to global recession. Nothing changed with my visit physically, but I discovered a new way of seeing things. While writing this series of experience, which I had after my first visit to Tiruvannamalai, I am back with a series of questions too. I also feel these questions are generic; there are possibilities that many people, have this questions too, which life poses them, suddenly in certain moments. And it helps them to create a new cultural identity. While I share my interaction with a number of people, from different walks of life, who came all across the world, in the call of Mystical Mountain Arunachala, with similar questions, there are possibilities that you could find a relation with them. Sharing this writings, might also create some new questions from you, and I welcome you to share them , that we could had some fruitful interactions and perhaps cultural identities could become more fluid in challenging times."
Stories of Arunachala Diaries as reviewed by IMAAI ( Independent Music and Arts, Inc)
."Stories of Arunachala " depicts a huge perspective and cognitive change, which changes the way we look around things. Sri Joydip managed to express her outlook on the pages of the book very clearly and powerfully. While reading you will notice that the path of a true seeker requires significant changes in life. Even if these changes are stretched in time, sweetened with promises of success or with descriptions of positive examples, they still can be enormous and irreversible. It is impossible not to change oneself after reading this great book!
