The purpose of this book is to investigate how the automotive industry implements the most effective and efficient Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy. The paper will explore and compare Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to BMW. This book draws its insights and conclusions from a review of the literature within SCM. Data for the study was collected from secondary research through journals, books, articles and e-books and online sources. The main approach for this project will be to undertake secondary research particularly, snap shot. As well as, qualitative methods will be taken into account. This method will be used to understand the underlying reasons. Hence, diagrams, tables, charts and graphs will be presented throughout this paper. The results of this book highlights the importance of SCM practices in the automotive industry in the modern business management. SCM is a topic, which has been growing considerably thus, receiving huge amount of interest for the past 30 years. This book leverages existing knowledge and advances our understanding of the SCM strategies in which JLR and BMW are implementing in the automotive industry.
