The Armor Giver

All their life Mama sang Alwind's Tale and Papa taught the five, the Ancient words. Now this Family of seven must journey to get to Alwind before the Wizard and his many come to take them. With his help they will get to the Armor Giver. During their trip, tragedy causes the oldest three children: Sean, Kayleigh and Hugh to have to escape to the Armor Giver. The darkness is growing, an unexpected friend is made, perhaps, and each child is tested in strength and weakness all the while being chased. This is a book that I highly recommend. It's a combination of the modern-day "The Pilgrim's Progress" and "The Chronicles of Narnia" book, brought to life with vivid, magical scenery and deeply relatable characters. As a grandparent, I found the story of the Family of Seven particularly touching and meaningful.

Each member's unique struggles resonated with me, and I believe both kids and adults will see a bit of themselves in these characters.

The adventure of escaping darkness and confronting a Wizard isn't just thrilling; it beautifully imparts the importance of understanding and memorizing God's words.

This book gave me a wonderful way to share with my grandchildren the significance of hiding God's words in their hearts, and the lessons of love, perseverance, and the promise of reunion.
