Inspired by a true story of a church being moved several miles by a horse in 1923, The Best Horses Ever is heartwarming tribute to farm horses and their partnership with humans.

Molly and Mike are the beloved work horses of Lookout Farm. They plow fields, harvest crops, and carry heavy loads. When their work is done, they enjoy playing with the children and the other farm animals.

But Molly and Mike are worried because the world of farming is changing. All around them, farmers are replacing their work horses with tractors. The Miller family, who lives on Lookout Farm, know they must get a tractor too - but they are reluctant to part with Molly and Mike.

Mary Ann and Bill, the children of the farm, find a few new jobs for Molly and Mike - but it's not enough to pay for their upkeep. Then, when an accident happens and a small church that is being moved by a tractor falls down a hillside, Molly and Mike prove their worth for all to see. Surefooted and powerful, Molly and Mike climb down the hill and help pull the church back onto the road and onward to its new location - just in time for Christmas.
