Astrology is everywhere, but real how-to guides are rare. This full-colour book teaches the actual skill from the ground up - and then keeps going, all the way to the tools a working astrologer really uses. It starts where a beginner needs it to and does not stop at the basics.
Part 1 gets you reading: the North Indian and South Indian chart layouts, all twelve houses (bhavas), nine planets (grahas) and twelve signs (rashis) with their rulers, and how Vedic differs from Western astrology. From there it goes deep: the 27 nakshatras with gana and yoni; the timing systems - Vimshottari (with antar and pratyantar periods), Yogini and Jaimini Chara dasha; the sixteen divisional charts from Navamsa to Shashtiamsa and what each one is read for; Shadbala and Ashtakavarga for judging a chart's strength; and Varshaphal, Muntha and Prashna for the year ahead and the single question. One example chart is carried the whole way through, so every technique is shown working on a chart you already know.
Throughout, the aim is meaning, not arithmetic - what each part of a chart signifies and how to read it, with worked examples, guided practice sorted by skill, and blank templates. Every chart and diagram is authored vector art; there are no AI images.
Astrology is presented as a symbolic cultural tradition for learning - not science, and not fixed fate. There are no fear-based predictions and no medical, legal or financial advice; where traditional sources disagree (as they genuinely do on parts of Jaimini dasha), the book says so rather than pretending to a single answer. The Vedic material is treated with care and accuracy.
