I have thrown out the rules with this creation. For this book is not just one thing.
Yes, it is about memoirs, but it is also about history's stamp on ordinary people, selfexpression
through creative prose, self-development through reflective questions
and it is also an invitation to the reader to begin to draft, write and share their
experiences within these pages.
Within these pages, my struggle with Invisibility is influenced by my experience of
disability. Whereas it was migration which exposed my grandparents to the threat
of Alienation.
Even though the details of our stories may differ to your own, the themes of our
lives are common to many.
I hope that you will enjoy our journeys. And I invite you to write your story alongside
our stories.
Together we will create a collection of writings about Invisibility, Alienation and
Resilience! And we will share the confidence and courage it takes to express our
internal fighter, our inner Gladiator.
