The Hunger

London, 1988.
Jason wakes in a hidden basement beneath a crumbling London house with no memory of how he got there - only a growing hunger clawing at the inside of him. The strangers surrounding him offer an impossible explanation: he is dead. Or close enough. Someone has turned him into a vampire.
In the shadows beneath the city, a small underground community survives by one rule above all others: no new vampires. Yet Jason exists, abandoned by the one who made him and somehow drawn straight to the cellar that should have remained hidden from him forever.

But before the mystery of Jason's creation can be uncovered, another impossible figure emerges from the darkness: a twelve-year-old boy with fangs.

Now paranoia spreads through the basement like blood through water. Someone in the house has broken the oldest taboo. Someone is creating vampires in secret. And as the hunger inside Jason grows stronger, the fragile rules keeping these creatures hidden from the world begin to collapse.

This is a theatre script with seven characters, four male, two female, plus one male child/teen.
