Literature is the lamp that glows amid the myriad lights of everyday life, the aged tree that struggles to grow on the precipice of existence, and the poplar that stands undying for millennia in the desert of the soul.

文学是万家灯火中亮的灯盏，是生命悬崖上努力生长的老树，是灵魂荒漠中千年不朽的胡杨。

This volume is a collection of the author's essays, poems, and plays written over the years. Most of these works date from the author's college days and early career, and they center on reflections on life's vicissitudes, on friendship and love, as well as critiques of music, literature, and fellow creators. Together, they trace the author's intellectual and emotional journey while showcasing his creative output.

The writing is plain and unadorned, yet fresh and eminently readable. To read these pages is to feel the author's emotions and glimpse into his heart. Through these pieces, we encounter a writer of strong passions-one who loves and hates with equal intensity, and who writes with unguarded emotional honesty.

Many of the works collected here were previously published in local newspapers and magazines, where they won the affection of grassroots readers. The author's original play, included in this volume, was awarded first prize in the drama category at the First Shanghai University Students' Cultural and Arts Festival.

本书是作者历年所撰散文、诗歌、剧本的汇编。这些作品多写作于作者的大学时代及刚参加工作的时期，内容多为对人生遭际、对友情与爱情的思考和总结，对音乐、文学及相关创作者的品评，反映了作者的心路历程和创作成果。全书文笔平实清新，可读性较强。读其书，感其情，观其心。阅读这些文章，我们可以看到一个敢爱敢恨、爱憎分明、情感充沛的写作者。本书中的多篇文章曾发表于地方报刊，颇受草根读者喜爱。作者主创的话剧，曾获上海市首届大学生文化艺术节话剧组一等奖。
