Being an Occult Detective is a lousy job. At least, to most people it is. Not to Lewis Carnelian, even though he doesn't like being punched in the stomach. Or zapped to sleep. Or cast adrift in the Nether Realms. He also doesn't like waiting in line for coffee, but who does? At least, in a near future dystopian San Francisco, waiting in line for coffee might be the least of your worries. And in a universe where the supernatural is far more annoying than it has any right to be, a good Occult Detective might come in handy. At least, that's what Lewis tells his clients.
