At midnight, the predators of the world stopped hunting.

In the Canadian Rockies, a wolf lies down beside a wounded deer instead of killing it. Off the coast of Australia, a great white shark circles a bleeding surfer and swims away. In the Amazon, a jaguar steps over a sleeping capybara and walks toward a village where children are filling water jugs.

Wildlife biologist Dr. Leila Grant witnesses the first sign of the change on a frozen trail camera: an old wolf she's tracked for three winters guarding a terrified deer instead of feeding on it. Within hours, predators across the globe begin blocking roads, protecting humans, and standing guard outside hospitals-not attacking, but defending.

The world calls it a miracle.

Leila knows better.

Something is coming. The animals are not being merciful. They are warning us.

As green light falls from the sky and an alien presence begins rewriting Earth's ecosystems, Leila must convince a fractured world to stop fighting the predators and start fighting alongside them.
