I am Liliana Lovelli, sixteen years old and slated to be the next powerful demon slayer of the famous Lovelli family.

The problem is, my magic is dying.

It's hard enough being a War Mage, where we bring honor to our families and blast apart demons, usually the same time. Living up to my brother is impossible, and if I screw up, the War Mage community will turn on my family. Worse, I need to find a battle partner, a fellow Supernatural I'll fight beside for life, and no one's interested.

Not that I can blame anyone for staying away. Something's draining my magic, and my family will exile me if I don't fix it. They're stressed enough, dealing with a bizarre demon crime wave.

War and Kittens is a snarky, young adult urban fantasy novel, and the first of the Supernaturals Underground: Crime Investigators series. It takes place two years after the original Supernaturals Underground series, but can be read alone.
