War of the Night

For centuries, those creatures have existed alongside mankind, hidden behind folklore, superstition and fragmented histories. Vampires, spirits, undead kings, ancient beings, demons, and creatures from countless cultures all inhabit the same world, each rooted in the legends that gave birth to them.

When Count Volikarr, ruler of the night and architect of an uneasy balance between monsters and mankind, is murdered upon his own throne, that balance begins to fracture.

His heir, Lucian Hollowgrave, inherits far more than a title. Young, proud and dangerously inexperienced, Lucian sets out to avenge Volikarr's death while attempting to hold together a supernatural world already splintering into rival powers. His journey carries him through demonic kingdoms, hidden realms, battlefields, monster strongholds and places where human civilisation survives only because darker powers permit it.

He is a monster surrounded by monsters, governed by loyalties, appetites and grudges. As enemies gather and old alliances collapse, he must decide what kind of ruler he intends to become, and how much of himself he is willing to sacrifice.
