When Waverly's most trusted employee admits she and her husband from across the border are pregnant (a shocking scandal-in-the-making if the baby is a boy) Waverly sets loose a special Adrays program just for her, meant to teach all women still interested in men a lesson.

Meanwhile, Kat Buford, the very teen Waverly believes to be her long-lost daughter, has plans of her own. On her eighteenth birthday, she sets off for a secret rendezvous with Jordan, her telepathic friend from across the border. Enroute, the two teens-in-love suffer parallel fates as a result of Waverly's artificially-created cognitive dissonance.
